Tasks of the Committee
- Coordination with the University’s Safety Department to implement evacuation plans in educational facilities, while implementing a training program for college students and employees to determine the tasks required of them at the time of emergency and the proper and optimal ways to use safety and fire protection methods.
- Ensuring that the corridors leading to the emergency exits are free of any obstacles, with the need for those exits to be open during the school day.
- Forming an emergency team of workers to carry out the initial process of fire incidents and carrying out rescue operations until the arrival of the civil defense teams according to a written plan that includes defining roles in a realistic and applicable manner without exposing the executing person to danger.
- Commitment to store chemicals in small quantities and in a safe place.
- Excluding returned materials and addressing the relevant university administration to help dispose of them according to regulations.
Field Training Committee
- Field training is considered one of the most important methods of practical application at the university level, by applying the student's academic achievement in governmental and private organizations, bodies and companies. The student deals with the leaders of those agencies, employees and customers, thus gaining practical experiences through this training.
- Completion of the field training course is one of the requirements for a bachelor's degree. The student is the focus of the training process. The college coordinator for field training, the academic supervisor and the supervisor of the training body also participate in it.
Objectives:
Field training generally aims at:
- Providing students with practical and training experience before graduation.
- Students' direct contact with the work environment and closer familiarization with the labor market.
- Supporting students' theoretical study through practical application, systems training and report writing.
- Training students to assume responsibility, adhere to deadlines, and respect regulations and laws.
- Training students to work in groups and develop their skills and good dealing with others.
- Enabling private and civil institutions to identify students' skills and attract them for employment.
- Informing the college of the requirements of the labor market and thus updating the study plans and educational process.
- Providing an opportunity to exchange experiences and open channels of cooperation between the college and training authorities.
About Field Training
It is one of the courses of the study plans in which the student works full-time for a specified period in one of the government or public agencies suitable for his specialization in order to gain practical experience and discover professional standards. Field training may sometimes be called by other names, including summer training, cooperative training, or practical application.
Who is the field training for?
Each student who has successfully completed 95 credit hours of the study plan.
Field training period:
7 weeks with a total of 56 working hours, an average of 8 hours per day.
When does field training start and when does it end?
The first and second semester: starts from the beginning of the third week to the ninth week in both semesters -
Students' Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attending meetings held by the scientific department and the field training unit at the college to get acquainted with the nature, concepts, dimensions and objectives of field training.
- Regular attendance at the professional institution on all days designated for training on the specified dates.
- Working to complete all assigned work, activities and professional tasks.
- Making the most of the available training opportunities, and drawing on the expertise of supervisors.
- Adherence to the regulations, rules and procedures of the professional institution and not violating them.
- Adherence to ethical standards at work.
- Preparing the questionnaire for evaluating the program, training plan, and level of performance.
Responsibilities of the Academic Field Supervisor:
- Visiting institutions and getting to know their manager and training officials, and agreeing with them on the field training program or plan.
- Visiting institutions to practice the supervising activity on students, observing them while they are performing training in professional institutions, and observing their behavior.
- Holding individual and group supervisory meetings with the training students with the aim of reviewing what the students did during the training period and discussing the difficulties and obstacles facing them.
- Holding meetings with training supervisors in professional institutions whenever necessary in order to follow up on the implementation of the plan as agreed upon.
- Evaluating students' professional performance at the end of the semester and presenting the evaluation results to the college.
Field Training Steps and Procedures
- The student receives an initial letter from the college for the institution in which he intends to train.
- The student brings an approval letter from the training authority with the name of the supervisor, his phone number and the exact location of the institution.
- Sending an official letter signed by the dean from the college to the training body, in addition to the evaluation questionnaire.
After completing field training, the student will bring the following documents:
- The original college letter.
- Calendar questionnaire duly filled and signed.
- A statement from the training authority stating that the student has completed the training.

- Professional and personal behavior.
- Assuming professional responsibilities with self-motivation.
- Balance and self-control in different situations.
- Positivity and effectiveness in dealing with others.
Examination Committee
Tasks of the Committee:
To prepare the following:
- Exam schedules with signatures of supervisors in addition to ensuring the availability of an appropriate number of supervisors in each committee.
- Attendance sheet for supervisors: Each supervisor signs a statement of, and the Examination Committee at the college makes sure that they are punctual.
- Report on the daily progress of exams: distributing it to the departmental committees to fill it out.
- Preparing fraud reports after receiving them from the department committees in preparation for taking the appropriate action according to regulations.
- Communicate the following:
- Instructions for supervision to academic department supervisors and to ensure that they are circulated to members.
- Exam instructions for students through the college’s electronic screens and posters on the entrances to the buildings that contain the examination halls.
6. Ensure the following:
- The readiness of the halls and their distribution to the departments, each according to its needs and the number of students, and make sure that they are free of any writings on the chairs, walls, blackboards, etc.
- Availability of a sufficient number of seats in all examination committees according to the number of students, as well as make sure that there are sufficient distances between the seats, which prevents students from cheating and facilitates the task of observers.
- Submit the transcripts to the vice dean of the college or her representative to feed the results to the academic system.
- Suggesting formats for advertisements for students, unifying and approving them, and choosing their places.
- Supporting departmental committees in their problems during exams and providing them with assistance.
- Supplying the requirements of the exam rooms (tissues - water).
- Providing a suitable environment for female students to perform their exams easily and smoothly, while overcoming the obstacles that may arise, and dealing with special and exceptional cases without violating exam regulations.
Quality Committee
Quality committee at the college level
Tasks assigned to it:
- Drawing up general policies to ensure quality at the college, and supervising their implementation.
- Spreading the culture of quality inside and outside the college.
- Supporting the efforts made to implement quality at the college, and cooperating with the relevant external parties.
- Adoption of the annual report of the college.
- Following up the results of performance evaluation at the college.
- Following up on the implementation of the academic evaluation and accreditation program in the college programs.
- Following up on the preparation and implementation of the college development and strategic plans.
- Determining the specialized training needs of faculty members in the academic departments of the college, and coordinating with the Deanship of University Development and Quality in their implementation.
- Urging and encouraging faculty members to participate in attending the courses, training programs and workshops offered to them by the Deanship of Development and Quality at the university, as well as external bodies such as the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment.
Development Committee
Most Important Tasks:
- Developing the administrative and academic skills of staff and faculty members through conducting developmental training workshops.
- Following up on improvement plans for academic programs and their compatibility in achieving academic accreditation standards
- Following up on the latest academic accreditation standards
- Participating in the implementation of the college's strategic plan and working to develop it.
- Following up on development processes on the college website
Scientific Research Committee
Tasks Assigned:
- Upgrading scientific research in the college and promoting the culture and practice of scientific research
- Supporting scientific research and encouraging researchers among faculty members, lecturers and teaching assistants
- Creating an information bank on everything related to scientific research
- Listing the scientific and research achievements of faculty members as well as the prizes they win
- Developing the research strategy and plan and the development of mechanisms for its implementation at the college
- Implementation of scientific research recommendations
- Organizing workshops that have a role in developing the research capabilities of employees
- Encouraging researchers from the faculty to attend conferences and symposia and participate with their research.
Scholarship Committee
Tasks:
- To contribute to the enrichment of human knowledge in all its branches through specialized studies and serious research; to gain access to innovative scientific and applied fields, and to reveal new facts.
- To establish mechanisms and regulatory procedures for all matters related to graduate studies
- To enable outstanding students with university degrees to continue their higher studies locally
- To organize and follow up with student affairs on scholarship by the university for postgraduate studies outside and inside the Kingdom, as well as graduates for training abroad.
- To prepare specialized scientific and professional competencies at a high level of scientific, creative and skill capability, and try to exploit self-potential and develop the country's natural resources.
- To improve the level of undergraduate programs; To interact with graduate programs.
- To take care of Islamic and Arabic studies, expanding their research and working to publish them
- To link postgraduate studies with the necessary needs of the short and long development plan and work to achieve its goals according to the needs of society and the environment in which we live.
- To consolidate the base of sound scientific research based on trying to solve scientific problems in the purely human and applied sciences by directing students towards choosing useful research that contributes to solving community problems and paying attention to difficult local, Arab and global issues.
- To pay attention to field and empirical studies to solve educational, social and economic problems in order to develop appropriate solutions to those problems and to reach scientific results that yield recommendations to overcome difficulties and obstacles.
- To activate the movement of authorship, investigation, translation, scientific references and university books, and publishing in local and international refereed scientific journals.
- Providing male and female students with a diversity of experiences and transferring knowledge and sciences from advanced countries that are known for their excellence.
