After these verses that Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Ashmawi delivered, the Dean of the College of Sciences and Humanities in Hotat Bani Tamim, opened the ceremony of the Eighty-eighth Celebration of the Saudi National Day held on Wednesday 16/1/1440 under the slogan "For Glory and Heights" at the College theatre in the presence of Vice-Deans, the administrative staff, faculty members and students.
The ceremony started with verses from the Holy Quran recited by student Amani Al-Quraini, followed by the speech of Her Excellency the Dean of the College, in which she, on behalf of herself and the College staff, expressed her sincere congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, Crown Prince and Minister of Defense. , And to the loyal Saudi people on the occasion of the 88th National Day.
In this regard, she said that we should thank God Almighty for the blessings of security, stability and welfare He bestowed upon us, then, we should thank our rightly guided government that is paying due attention to the needs of its citizens and particular attention to, and care for, education. At the end of her speech, she prayed to God to perpetuate this good and safe country, to protect our rulers from all evil, and help them achieve success, and to help us as citizens to assist them and perform all that makes this country safe and secure.
After that, the audience watched a short film entitled "An Allegiance Poem to a Generous Homeland" prepared by Ms. Manal Al-Duhaim. It tells the aspiration of the young men and women of the country to science and knowledge, to love and loyalty to this benevolent country, and explains the efforts and contributions of Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University in this respect.
The ceremony then concluded with a free space for sisters of different nationalities to express their feelings on this occasion. Then a song entitled "Towards Glory and Success" was performed by the multi-national sisters to express their feelings on the occasion.
At the end of the ceremony, participants moved to the nearby exhibition, which was organized in collaboration with all departments and units of the College. It contained various elements that introduced the kings of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and their achievements. The exhibition also contained sculptures, paintings and various artistic works by the creative female faculty members and students.
At the end of the ceremony, the College Dean, Dr. Hessa Al-Hazzani, thanked all those who attended from different departments and units and contributed to the success of the event. She also extended special thanks to the Ishraqa Watan Unit members and Ms. Manal Al-Deheem, the Unit's Chair for their efforts to hold this ceremony in the best possible way.
