Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Sciences and Humanities in Hotat Bani Tamim, Dr. Hessa bint Saud Al-Hazani, the Department of Islamic Studies organized a program entitled (Gifts from the Heart), starting on Sunday 16/3/1445 H and lasting for four days.
The program aimed to spread the concepts of love and appreciation, and the way gifts increase bonding and support relationships between people.
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, who said: (Offer one another gifts in order to love one another). The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, did not take charity but accepted gifts. A gift is one of the things that makes a person feel unique and special. This does not mean that a gift should be the most expensive or the biggest, but what matters is that the gift be special, carry a special meaning for the person, be within his/her interests, and/or bring him/her a happy memory.
It is worth noting that the program was implemented by female students of the Department of Islamic Studies and supervised by Dr. Dana Al-Dosari.
