Submitted by a.almutarrid@p… on Thu, 11/26/2020 - 11:39

The Department of Islamic Studies was inaugurated at the beginning of the establishment of the College in the academic year (1414H), where it was a middle college offering its students a diploma degree in Islamic Studies. In 1422H, the college developed into a Faculty of Education and the department granted a Bachelor's Degree in Education. Then the name of the college changed into the College of Science and Humanities. Accordingly, a number of study plans were implemented. In 1439-1440 H, the department's plan shifted towards literature. The department delivers general courses to the other scientific and literary departments, such as Introduction to Islamic Culture, Islam and Community Building. The department now includes more than 350 students.

The courses are taught by a distinguished elite of faculty members who are recognized for their competence and experience in all disciplines of the department: Tajweed (Optimized Recitation), Quran, Aqeedah (Faith) and other courses. . The department has contributed to the graduation of a significant number of distinguished students who assisted in the construction of the country.
