Arabic Department Overview
The Department of Arabic Language is one of the oldest departments in the College, and has been one of the most notable since its establishment in 1414H, when it began as a middle collegethat awarded diploma degrees. It then developed into the College of Education in 1422H. The first batch of Bachelor's Degree graduated in the academic year 1425H-1426H. Through its development, the College has witnessed the implementation of a number of study plans before its name was changed into the College of Sciences and Humanities.
The department now includes a large number of students and a distinguished elite of faculty members with a high level of competence and expertise. Professors and lecturers navigate with their students the various resources of the Arabic language with all its rich fields of grammar, literature, rhetoric, criticism and linguistics. They also contribute to teaching Arabic to the students of other departments at the College by instilling in them the skills of the Arabic language,composition and orthodontics along with the dissemination of the Arab and Islamic heritage and civilization.
