يظل الشاعران جرير والفرزدق رمزاً للمبارزة الشعرية رغم تتابع الزمن، وعلى مسرح كلية العلوم والدراسات الإنسانية بحوطة بني تميم تحت رعاية عميدة الكلية الدكتورة حصة بنت سعود الهزاني قدمت طالبات قسم اللغة العربية مشهدًا تمثيليًا من إعداد مشرفة النشاط الدكتورة نحا القحطاني بعنوان (بين جرير والفرزدق) في تمام الحادية عشرة من صبيحة الأربعاء ٢٦/ ٦/ ١٤٤٤هـ، كان حوارًا شعريًا بين الشاعرين الفحلين، وقد سبق ذلك عرضًا مرئيًّا لنشأة كل منهما ونسبه وحياته، وعلاقتهما ببعضهما، وأبرز اللقاءات الشعرية بينهما، وقد تخلل ذلك توزيع بعض تقديمات الطالبات التي عرضت لجميل شعرهما وشيء من صفاتهما حتى تجتمع الصورة والذوق في تقديم المعلومة للحاضرات وربط الحاضر بجماليات الشعر القديم في أبهى صوره واستعمالاته.
