The launching of rumors is dishonest behavior, forbidden and warned against in Islam.In an awareness program to combat this phenomenon, the Department of Education and Psychology at the College of Sciences and Humanities in Hotat Bani Tamim has presented a program entitled "Have You Heard of the Latest?" under the supervision of Mrs. Tahani Aljawayd and the participation of students of the Department of Information Systems on Sunday, 26/6/1440 H, 9:30 am at the College Amphitheater.
The program aimed to introduce students and the audience to the methods of rumor dissemination and the damage they cause to society. It also aimed at raising awareness of how rumors are used in other fields such as marketing.
The program included a representative scene that reflected the way rumors are spread and the dangers they cause. The audience shared some of their experiences with the rumors and the impact they have had on their lives. Eventually, leaflets on the subject were distributed to the participants and audience.
