The Faculty of Sciences and Humanities in HotatBaniTamim has organized the Preparatory Meeting of the third Scientific Forum (The Arms of Accomplishment, Sawa'id Al-Etmam) at Prince Sattam bin Abdul Aziz University on Tuesday 21/6/1440 H. at 10:30 am in the College Theater. The ceremony began with the presence of the Evaluation Committee consisting of the Vice-Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Dalal Al-Matrafi, members of the Higher Committee of the Scientific Forum, Mrs. Nahed Abu Zeid and a number of guests, faculty members, employees and students.The program included a number of activities, notably: a montage on the events of the Forum. The ceremony was attended by Sara Al-Mughira (a member of the Student Council). It began with the national anthem, a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Bilqis Al-Tamimi, and then a warm welcoming of the guests. After that, a special montage showed the achievements and preparations of the third Scientific Forum at the college, the arbitration process and the participation of the students in the various events. Then, Her Excellency the Dean of the College, Dr. Hessa Al-Hazani, delivered a speech of thanks and appreciation of His Excellency Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Hamed, the University Rector, for his efforts in following up with the faculties, upgrading the teaching and learning process and urging the activation of the Scientific Forum at the girls' colleges. She also praised the cooperation between members, administrators and students, their sense of belonging to the University and their great enthusiasm to display their creativity in all disciplines.
After that, HE the Vice-Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Dalal Al-Matrafi delivered a speech in which she praised the efforts of all supervisors and members in organizing the events of the Forum throughout the current semester. The events included courses, preparations, training and supervision. She also thanked everyone without exception for their efforts.
This was followed by the speech of the Forum coordinator, Islam al-Amri, who thanked all students and supervisory and regulatory committees for their achievements. She stressed the factthat the Forum is a story of continuous successes for students and faculty members. After that, samples of the work of students who were qualified at the college level were presented based on the decisions of the internal arbitration committees: The first place in the field of health research was given to students: Abrar Al-Qasim, Shamaa Al-Qa'dheeb and Wejdan Al-Bdeyaafor their work entitled "Synthеsis of Certain Hettrocyclic Compounds of Biological Interest". The first place in the field of human and social research was given to the research entitled "The role of the tourism sector in supporting the national economy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia"and presented by Hanouf al-Brik. In the field of Entrepreneurship, the idea of booking subway tickets by students Haya Al-Maathem, Rouba Al-Temimi, Malak Al-Khudheer and Sarah Al-Shakrah got the first place. As for the field of Social Service, the idea of "rationalization and consumption" by student Al-Anoud Al-Hareeqi took first place.
At the end of the ceremony, all those who reached the topof hard work, accomplishment and diligence were honored. The Arbitration Committees, supervisors and the Organizing Committee of the closing ceremony were also honored for the great efforts they exerted in directing the College participation in the Scientific Forum in the best possible way. Finally, everyone was invited to attend the accompanying exhibition of students' posters.
